<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of insulating property, high temperature load life or the like without deteriorating the dielectric characteristic and the temperature characteristic of the static capacitance even when the dielectric layer is thinly layered. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic comprises (Ba, Ca)TiO<SB>3</SB>as the principal component to which the first-the fourth additive components are added. Wherein the first additive component comprises at least one selected from V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo and W, the second additive component is comprised of prescribed rare earth elements, the third additive component comprises at least one selected from Mn, Ni, Fe, Cu, Mg and Al, and the fourth additive component is comprised of a sintering aid that contains at least Si. And wherein the first additive component 2 is allowed to enter into the solid solution of the principal component particle 1 and the solid solution distance L where the first additive component 2 enters into the solid solution of the principal component particle 1 is 1/100 or more and 1/3 or less of the radius R of the principal component particle 1 in the direction from the outer surface 1a toward the inside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
