<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade wire for reinforcing a catheter of high buckling strength and a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The blade wire for reinforcing the catheter is made of duplex stainless steel consisting of C:≤0.02%, Si:3.6 to 4.2%, Mn:2 to 2.5%, Ni:6 to 7%, Cr:15 to 17%, Mo:0.5 to 0.7%, Cu:0.8 to 1.2% by wt % and the balance consisting of iron and inevitable impurity. The duplex stainless steel comes into a two-phase structure state where an austenitic phase and a ferrite phase coexist at a solution temperature. After wire drawing work of ≥95% is carried out to the duplex stainless steel, it is kept at 450 to 500°C for 0.5 to 8 hours to be age-hardened to make the blade wire being a round wire of 3,200 to 3,800 MPa tensile strength and a 20 to 50μm diameter or a flat wire of a 20 to 50μm thickness and 50 to 150μm width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
