PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous engagement of a roller of a two-way roller clutch, in a rotation transmitting device for controlling the two-way roller clutch by an electromagnetic clutch. SOLUTION: The two-way roller clutch 10 and the electromagnetic clutch 20 for controlling engagement of its two-way roller clutch 10 and a release of the engagement, are incorporated between mutual ones of an input shaft 1 and an outer race 3. A switch spring 15 for elastically holding a cage 14 in a neutral position for releasing the engagement of the roller 13, is incorporated between mutual ones of the input shaft 1 and the cage 14 of the two-way roller clutch 10. A rotation regulating means 30 is arranged between mutual ones of the input shaft 1 and the cage 14. When the input shaft 1 idly rotates at a high speed, the rotation regulating means 30 is operated, and prevents the cage 14 from relatively rotating to the input shaft 1, and prevents the erroneous engagement of the roller 13.
