PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double steel pipe type brace capable of reinforcing an axial load supporting pipe even though a bending stress occurs to the axial load supporting pipe due to an external force in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and also capable of offering easier production of the pipe as well as a relatively large control limit (tolerance) for a gap between the axial load supporting pipe and a reinforcing pipe. SOLUTION: The axial load supporting pipe 11 being subject to a force in its axial direction installed to a structure of building and a reinforcing pipe 20, into which an axial load supporting pipe 11 is inserted, or the reinforcing pipe 20 inserted to an axial load supporting pipe 11, are provided; and a buckling prevention member made of a metal wire member is installed on outer peripheral surfaces near both ends of the axial load supporting pipe 11.
