PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall finishing method by which a trace of a joint of backing boards is not conspicuous and to provide a partly tiled wall surface. SOLUTION: A plurality of backing boards 2 are fixed to a column 1 using screws, nails, etc. to construct a wall backing 3. A coating finishing material having a tile adhesion function (an elastic adhesive agent including a pigment, for example) is applied onto the wall backing 3 to form a coating layer 4. Before the coating layer 4 is hardened, a pin 6 of a tool 7 with the pin is swept along the joint of the backing boards 2, 2 to form a streak 5. Then a tile 10 is glued along the streak 5. Thus, each tile 10 is horizontally glued efficiently while being lined up neatly without extending a leveling string. On the wall surface after finishing attach of the tiles, the streak 5 becomes rarely conspicuous since it goes along a side of each tile 10.
