PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel connecting fitting which enables the flexible definition of a space, and a method/structure for connecting a partition panel by using the panel connecting fitting. SOLUTION: The panel connecting fitting 30 comprises a base plate 31 having the fixing part 31c and connection part 31e integrally formed in an I-shape in plan view, and guide pieces 32 and 32 which are fixedly provided on both the sides of the base plate 31 between the fixing part 31c and the connection part 31e. Both side ends of the guide piece 32 are raised in a direction almost orthogonal to the base plate, so as to form a guide surface 32a. In each of the fixing part 31c and the connection part 31e, vertical notches 31a and 31b, which are engaged with a vertically long engaging groove 33 formed in the panel 11, are formed on the lateral side of the base plate 31 with respect to the guide surface 32a. Furthermore, the notches 31a and 31b are opened on the downside of the base plate 31, and notched up to a vertical midway part of the base plate 31; a guide surface-side edge of the notch 31 is formed like a vertical plane; and the other side edge is formed like an inclined plane.
