FOLDING DEVICE AND PRINTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding device capable of early detecting skewing and meandering of a paper causing folding jam to reduce occurrence of folding jam. SOLUTION: This folding device folds a continuous paper provided with folds at a predetermined interval in advance into a zigzag shape along the folds. The folding device has a swinger fin swinging like a pendulum in synchronization with the folds using one end as a fulcrum while conveying a conveyance member of the continuous paper and the continuous paper into its inside when viewed in the direction of conveyance of the continuous paper and a table for loading the folded continuous paper in this order. A running sensor for the continuous paper is provided between the conveyance member and the swinger fin when viewed in the direction of conveyance of the continuous paper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
