PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sharpener for a stick-like drawing material, which enables a user with no special skill to surely perform work for sharpening a leading end of the stick-like drawing material into a desired specific shape, in a short period of time. SOLUTION: This sharpener for the stick-like drawing material comprises: a sliding member 1 which has a sliding surface 11 for performing longitudinal sliding while abutting on the leading end of the drawing material 6; and a blade 2 whose cutting edge 21b directed to a front side is provided in the state of facing a back end 11b of the sliding surface 11 in a position slightly higher than the sliding surface 11, which has a continuous surface 21 enabling sliding continuing from the sliding performed in the state of making the leading end of the drawing material 6 abut on the sliding surface 11, and which sharpens the leading end of the drawing material 6 in the predetermined shape through the sliding to be performed over a range from the sliding surface 11 to the continuous surface 21. The sliding surface 11 is formed in a V-shape which is set to have an interior angle as an acute angle in a front view, and the blade 2 is formed in a folded plate shape which is a V-shape similar to that of the sliding surface 11 in a front view.
