PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use embroidery data with no command to cut a thread without any editorial processes, to omit the thread settlement process to cut a cross thread, and to improve the workability in sewing. SOLUTION: When feed data related to embroidery data on embroidery patterns for sewing are detected (S33:Yes), and if back-tack data do not consist of embroidery data for three stitches (S35:No), the back-tack sewing is executed (S36), and the thread is cut (S37). When a plurality of feed data continue, the total feed quantity (the total cloth feed quantity) is accumulated (S38-41), and the cloth is fed at a stretch to a sewing starting position in the next embroidery area in the shortest distance when the embroidery in the next embroidery area is started (S42).
