<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk for evaluation capable of appropriately evaluating the performance associated with a CD and/or DVD relating to an optical disk device with which recording/reproducing of the CD and the DVD can be performed. <P>SOLUTION: The disk 20 for evaluation is radially divided to three regions; an inner peripheral region 21, a middle peripheral region 22, and an outer peripheral region 23. The inner peripheral region 21 is divided to an evaluation region 21a for the inner peripheral side CD formed with recording information pursuant to CD standards and an evaluation region 21b for the inner peripheral side DVD formed with recording information pursuant to DVD standards. The middle peripheral region 22 is divided to the evaluation region 22a for the middle peripheral side CD formed with the recording information pursuant to the CD standards, the evaluation region 22b for the first middle peripheral side DVD and the evaluation region 22c for the second middle peripheral side DVD formed with the recording information pursuant to the DVD standards.
