<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing method, and a system and a device therefor, avoiding registration of data having a password attached thereto, enabling extraction of the data having the attached password, preventing tampering of data in a storage device of a server unit, and also enabling retention of information secrecy even when the data in the server unit are stolen. <P>SOLUTION: When registering a data having been transferred, it is decided whether the data have a password attached thereto. If the data are decided to have the attached password, a notification to the effect that the registration of the data having the password is in progress is forwarded to an instruction source having instructed the registration. An inquiry of whether the registration is to be continued is made to the instruction source. When the registration is allowed, the registration work is continued, while when not allowed, the registration work is suspended. Upon a request to output the registered data, it is decided whether the data have an attached password. If the data are decided to have the attached password, a request to input the password is made.
