<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely search a device even if the device is in a sleep mode and cannot respond to a search request. <P>SOLUTION: In response to reception of a search instruction to search a desired device, a wakeup packet for making a device on a network change from a power saving state to a normal state is transmitted first, and after that, a search request packet is transmitted to the device which is made a transmission destination of the wakeup packet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
