<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel input device for reliably preventing the depolarization of a piezoelectric board (13). <P>SOLUTION: During a non-operation period when the touch panel input device is not used, connection between the paired output terminals (15a, 15b) of an AC power source circuit (15) and the corresponding paired driving electrodes (13a, 13b) of the piezoelectric board (13) is changed-over by a changeover switch (2), so as to short-circuit a part between the paired driving electrodes (13a, 13b). Even when a charged conductive object touches the driving electrodes (13a, 13b) or a driving power source pattern (35) connected to them during the non-operation period, a DC voltage is not applied to a part between the paired driving electrodes (13a, 13b), so that the depolarization of the piezoelectric board (13) is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
