PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program distribution apparatus and a receiver enabling a viewer of a program to easily view information relating to the program such as a CM. SOLUTION: A broadcast station 100 broadcasts a program wherein CM is composed to part of a main program. When the viewer selects viewing of the program, a server type receiver 200 urges the viewer to select whether or not viewing of the CM is accepted. Only when the viewer selects the acceptance of the viewing of the CM, the composed CM is separated from the main program and the receiver normally reproduces all the main program.
