PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the vibration of an exhaust pipe which is attached to an engine transversely mounted on a vehicle and which extends below the engine to the rear portion of the vehicle, and to improve the positioning accuracy with respect to a body member located on the backside of the engine. SOLUTION: In an exhaust unit of a vehicle in which the engine is transversely mounted on the front part of the vehicle, the body member extending in the widthwise direction of the vehicle is located on the backside of the engine, the exhaust pipe connected to the front side of the engine via an exhaust manifold is extended below the engine to the rear portion of the vehicle, and the exhaust pipe is formed with a horizontal section extending below the engine substantially in the horizontal direction and an arch-shaped bent section bent in such a manner that it extends straddling the body member, the exhaust pipe is separated at a portion of the horizontal section on the rear side of the roll center of the engine and at a portion of a rear-side inclination part of the bent section.
