PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose sheath-core fiber of double layer structure completely covering the core part with the sheath part, especially a cellulose sheath-core fiber that comprises a large amount of an inorganic or organic functional material at a high concentration. SOLUTION: A cellulose dope obtained by dissolving cellulose in a solvent is discharged from the sheath part (or core part) of a double extrusion spinneret in a multiple arrangement, simultaneously a cellulose dope comprising inorganic or organic particles is discharged from the core part (or the sheath part), both the dopes are combined into a sheath-core structure, drawn, coagulated, regenerated and dried to give the cellulose sheath-core fiber.
