PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cast coated paper, with which deterioration of gloss on a cast coated face while dealing with speed-up of a line is prevented and cast coated paper is properly prevented from being curled in the whole area in the width direction without causing rise in an installation cost. SOLUTION: In the method for producing cast coated paper, with which the surface of a sheetlike supporting body 1 equipped with a coated layer composed of pigment and an adhesive as main components on the back is coated with a coating composition for cast, the surface of the supporting body 1 is pressed under pressure to a cast drum 5 and dried to form the finish of the cast coated layer on the surface of the supporting body 1, a humidification roll 9 is pressed under pressure to the back of the supporting body 1 wound on the cast drum 5 to coat the back-coated layer with a liquid.
