PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid stabilizer for chlorine-containing resins containing metal salts of toluic acid having a very low solubility as the major ingredient. SOLUTION: The liquid stabilizer for chlorine-containing resins containing metal salts of toluic acid having a very low solubility as the major ingredient is prepared by mixing at least one kind selected from zinc toluate, barium toluate, calcium toluate, magnesium toluate and strontium toluate, an alkyl hydrogen phosphite expressed by formula (I) (R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each 6-16C alkyl group) and a copolymer of a methacrylate.
