PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharge device which can restrain the generation of streaks between a plurality of recording heads constituting a recording head unit. SOLUTION: In this liquid droplet discharge device, liquid droplet discharge head units 12Y to 12K for forming an image on a recording paper 2, are fixedly arranged in a direction where a plurality of liquid droplet discharge heads H1 to H6 with multiple liquid droplet discharge nozzles arranged on an opposite surface to a recording medium, cross the conveyance direction of the recording medium, in such a way that the liquid droplet discharge nozzles on the edges of the adjacent liquid droplet discharge heads H1 to H6 are superposed over each other in the conveyance direction of the recording medium, Further, the liquid droplet discharge nozzles inside the outermost liquid droplet discharge nozzles of the adjacent liquid droplet discharge heads, are set as liquid droplet discharge nozzles in a boundary position which can discharge the liquid droplet. Thus the generation of the streak is restrained by controlling the discharge of the liquid droplet from the liquid droplet discharge nozzles outside the liquid droplet discharge nozzles in the boundary position, in accordance with an overlap amount between the liquid droplet discharge nozzles in the boundary position set by the adjacent liquid droplet discharge heads.
