An exemplary rechargeable mouse (100) is adapted to be insertable into and removable from a bay (14) of an electronic device (10). An electrical connection (42) of the mouse (100) electrically couples only to a power connection of an electrical interface (46) in the device bay (14) that also has a data connection such that the mouse (100) is charged when inserted in the device bay (14).
