Springs are compressed using the weight of gravity, and are pinned by clips adapted to straddle either end of the spring, and form spring clips. Dividers and rods in conjunction with the spring clips allow them to convert the force within them into forward momentum. The dividers have metal flanges which make contact only with the springs whilst preventing the clips from touching each other. The rod passes through the central core of each spring clip and divider. When a force greater than the force within each spring is subjected to the spring clips on the rod, the springs are each further compressed beyond the point at which the clips can hold them. The clips then fall and release the energy of the spring in the form of a forward momentum. |
