The present invention relates to a security mode providing method and apparatus for a device. A security mode providing method according to an embodiment may comprise the steps of: acquiring multiple parameters for determining a secure environment for a device, from at least one equipment included in the device; determining whether the device is in a non-secure environment, on the basis of the acquired multiple parameters; and controlling the device to operate in a security mode when it is determined that the device is in a non-secure environment.
