The present invention relates to a safety assessment method for a ship using a ship safety assessment model. The safety assessment method for a ship using a ship safety assessment model comprises: a step of recognizing an inputted ship layout drawing; a step of generating a ship safety assessment model with respect to the ship layout drawing; a step of performing simulation by applying an accident scenario to the ship safety assessment model; and a step of displaying safety problem parts resulting from the simulation on the fault tree, timing graph of the ship safety assessment model and the recognized ship layout drawing.
