The screw has a screw head (3), a screw shaft (2), a front screw end, and a screw thread extending via a screw section (4) that begins at the front end of the screw, where a holding section (5) of the screw shaft has no screw threads. The holding section is cold deformed by rolling a screw thread profile. A flat flank faces a screw head end, and the holding section has a groove profile, where the outer diameter of a groove and/or a screw thread geometry in the holding section is smaller than the flank diameter of the screw thread. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a screw (2) an application of the screw for screwing hard wood at an underground. |
