The present invention relates to an IPTV system for a vessel and to a method for providing an IPTV service. Specifically, the present invention relates to an IPTV system which receives and amplifies a broadcasting signal from the outside by utilizing conventional broadcasting viewing device, and provides broadcasting contents through wireless or wired network to terminals for viewing broadcasting within a vessel by having more apparatuses and more servers for converting the received broadcasting signal into transmission data transmittable through network.
