An illuminating balloon with an inflatable envelope 12 comprises a control unit 18 integrated in the envelope 12 and comprising: - an electropneumatic blowing device 52 having an intake orifice to suck air in from the outside, and a discharge orifice to send the air into the internal space of the balloon, - an electronic circuit for power supply of the electropneumatic device 52 a nd of the bulb 16, - and a cover 28 for support of the bulb 16 and of a protective grid preventing the envelope 12 from coming into contact with the bulb 16, said grid being extended up to near the top of the envelope 12 to give the structure of the balloon a mechanical rigidity effect. |
