A chair-type massage machine has a leg- rest (5) vertically swingably attached in front of a seat surface (2) of a chair (1) and supporting a calf of a person seated on the seat surface (2) and has a footrest (6) swingably installed on the head of the leg- rest (5), supporting portion between an ankle and a toe of the person, and supporting also a foot bottom of the person. Massage means (7, 8) are provided on the leg-rest (5) and the footrest (6). Further, the leg-rest (5) is provided such that its distance to the seat surface (2) is adjustable, and this enables the footrest (6) to be maintained substantially horizontal regardless of the angle and position of the leg- rest (5).
