The covering has a transversal panel (13), and a longitudinal panel (12) extending in a vertical plane under the horizontal edge of a bathtub. The panel (12) has a length smaller than the smallest size of the bathtub. Two adjusting panels (14-17) are mounted in projection and partially overlap the ends opposite to the panel (12). Detachable fastening units (20) plate the panels (14-17) against the panel (12).
