PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle controller where the slip velocity of wheels is minimized at idling or sliding of the wheels and idling is hardly diffused and besides the idling is detected quickly and the torque is throttled quickly. SOLUTION: This electric vehicle controller is equipped with an inverter, four motors which are connected to this one inverter, a speed sensor which detects the rotational speed of each of four motors or wheels, an idling/slide controller which detects the idling or sliding of wheels, based on the rotational speed of the four motor or wheels detected by this speed sensor, a motor estimated speed calculation part which estimates the rotational speed of the motor, based on the magnetic flux or voltage of the motor, a speed sensorless vector controller which controls the inverter, based on the estimated rotational speed of the motor estimated by this motor estimated speed calculation part, and a PWM gate calculation part.
