PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a field equipment apparatus which can reduce increase in current consumption to the minimum when rewriting non-volatile memory and shorten update time. SOLUTION: A memory update method for field equipment has a field bus, at least one or more field equipments, which have built-in non-volatile memories and connected to the field bus, and a host system, which is directly or indirectly connected to the field bus, transmits an update instruction to one of the field equipments to update non-volatile memories in the filed equipments and transfers update data.
