PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic electric compressor making an outdoor unit compact by storing a drive circuit unit in a hermetic vessel and surely performing transmission and reception of signals with outside. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with at least a compression part 11, a motor 12, and a motor drive module 13 including a power part and a control part for driving the motor in the hermetic vessel. Moreover, a communication means 22 transmitting and receiving communication control signals or command signals between the motor drive module 13 and an outside of the hermetic vessel is provided in the hermetic vessel.
