PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber binder composition capable of being utilized for producing a woven fabric or nonwoven fabric made of a glass fiber, including a mat made of the glass fiber, such as a glass fiber chopped strand mat, and to provide the mat made of the glass fiber, formed by using the composition. SOLUTION: This glass fiber binder composition contains an organic polymer emulsion and a gelatinizing agent for gelatinizing the organic polymer emulsion in an amount of 0.1-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a solid content of the emulsion. The glass fiber binder composition efficiently adheres to points of intersection of the glass fiber. Further, the glass fiber binder composition is not powdered. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
