PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide character information of display size having suitable visibility independently of the size and resolution of a monitor and the sitting position of an occupant regarding an onboard monitor display apparatus, an onboard character information providing apparatus for providing character information and an onboard character information display system consisting of these apparatuses. SOLUTION: The onboard monitor display apparatus 1 installed in a vehicle and capable of displaying character information to a monitor 4 is provided with a visual angle size information detection means 7 for detecting the information of visual angle sizeθof the character information which is added to the character information and a display size setting means 8 for setting display size (a) of the character information displayed on the monitor 4 so that the display size (a) is equal to the visual angle sizeθdetected by the visual angle size information detection means 7 correspondingly to the vehicle occupant.
