PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive turbofan in which a hub cover capable of efficiently cooling an electric motor without disturbing the stream of air discharged from the turbofan can be easily and firmly fixed to the main plate. SOLUTION: A fitting part 5 and a claw 7 are provided to a hub cover mounted in a wall 2 for covering the electric motor 17 of the turbofan 1. A receiving part 6 engaged with the cover is provided by utilizing a ventilation hole 3 so as to facilitate the mounting of the hub cover 15 in the main plate 4. Air cooling the electric motor flows out of the ventilation hole 3, thereby flowing onto the main plate 4. As a result, the inexpensive turbofan and its manufacturing method which eliminates necessity of a tapping screw and welding process such as ultrasonic welding can be obtained.
