PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ticket processing system 1 by which it is unnecessary that an operator judges whether a faulty airline ticket is available or not, the number of times of the reissue procedure of the airline ticket can be reduced, and the number of times of the stop of a reading unit 3 can be reduced. SOLUTION: This ticket processing system 1 is composed of a ticket issuing machine 2 for writing and issuing predetermined information in an airline ticket and a reading unit 3 for accepting the airline ticket issued by the ticket issuing machine 2, and for reading predetermined information from the airline ticket. The ticket issuing machine 2 adds failure information to the airline ticket in which any failure is generated before the issue of the airline ticket, and when it is impossible to read the predetermined information from the inserted airline ticket, the reading machine 3 executes a reading operation to the airline ticket beyond the normal reading times when any failure information is added to the airline ticket.
