PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous travel monitoring device ensuring a monitoring or confirming state by photographing an optimum image for every position within a monitoring section. SOLUTION: This device comprises a specified position storage means 6 storing specified positions on a traveling route, and an image pick-up means 8 taking and recording images. A moving body 1 is stopped in a plurality of positions stored in the specified position storage means 6, and the horizontal angle or elevation of the image pick-up means 8 are varied in the respective positions to change the direction of a camera, and zooming operation is further set thereto.
