PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform connection working well by simply mounting an optical transmission medium by an arrangement groove. SOLUTION: The optical connection structure 10 comprises at least a pair of the optical transmission media 1a and 1b, an arrangement member 2 having the arrangement groove 2a, a connection member 3 having refractive index conformation, and a support member 4 provided with the connection member 3. The end faces of the optical transmission media 1a and 1b are mounted to be opposed in the arrangement groove 2a of the arrangement member 2, the support member 4 is mounted on the upper part of the arrangement groove 2a between the optical transmission media 1a and 1b, and the optical transmission media 1a and 1b are optically connected by sandwiching the connection member 3.
