PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a shortcoming that it takes much time until turning on vibration-proofing actuation next when predetermined time elapses after a vibration-proofing switch is turned off and the power source of a gyro is turned off. SOLUTION: The optical equipment has a correction means for optically correcting the shake of the optical equipment, a detection means for detecting the shake of the optical equipment, a control means for driving and controlling the correction means based on output from the detection means, a protection member detection means for detecting the existence of the protection member of an eyepiece part, and a power source means for turning on/off the power source.
