PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer sheet for forming a mono-particle film with a desired pattern, a method for manufacturing the same, a method for forming the mono-particle film by using the transfer sheet, and an electrophoretic display device with which a high-quality display can be carried out. SOLUTION: The transfer sheet comprises a construction equipped with a foaming layer and an adhesive layer sequentially laminated on one surface of a substrate and a plurality of particles mounted on the adhesive layer in the mono-particle film state, a construction equipped with a photothermal conversion layer between the substrate and the foaming layer, a construction equipped with the photothermal conversion layer on the other surface of the substrate, or a construction equipped with a photothermal conversion foaming layer and the adhesive layer sequentially laminated on the one surface of the substrate and the plurality of particles mounted on the adhesive layer in the mono-particle film state, or a construction equipped with a photothermal conversion foaming adhesive layer formed on the one surface of the substrate and the plurality of particles mounted on the photothermal conversion foaming adhesive layer in the mono-particle film state.
