PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce running cost, while decreasing a press fitting load of a valve seat which is press-fitted and fixed into an end part on a combustion chamber side of a port formed in a cylinder head. SOLUTION: An outer periphery on a tip side in a press-fitted direction of a valve seat is formed of a chamfered part 4. A cutout 5 having width b larger than width a of the chamfered part 4 is formed in an inner peripheral face of a tip part in the press-fitted direction of the valve seat 3, so that radial stiffness of the tip part in the press-fitted direction of the valve seat 3 is corrected to be decreased and the valve seat 3 is pressed in with small load, while resolving the concern about drag occurring when the valve seat is press-fitted.
