PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an addition type guard fence strut without causing any complication in work concerning construction even if it is used together with a strut to which no addition is made and a guard fence. SOLUTION: In the addition type guard fence strut 10 formed by adding an exposed column section 1 to a buried column section 2, since the exposed column section 1 has the same outside diameter as that of the buried column section 2, the same extent of force is required in the case the buried column section 2 is buried, so that there is no complication in the work concerning the construction even if it is used together with the strut to which no addition is made.
