PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an acrylic powder coating which permits uniform dispersion of a curable resin and a curing agent by a simple means, is excellent in productivity and forms a coating film excellent in smoothness and gloss property. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the powder coating comprises using (1) a curable acrylic resin (A) of specific properties obtained by polymerizing raw material monomers containing in a certain ratio an unsaturated compound containing a glycidyl group and/or a methylglycidyl group and methyl methacrylate, (2) a curing agent (B) reactive with the glycidyl group and/or the methylglycidyl group in the curable acrylic resin (A) and (3) an alcohol solvent (C) having a boiling point within a certain range, and comprises a step for mixing the curable acrylic resin (A), the curing agent (B) and the alcohol solvent (C) so that the curing agent (B) dissolves in the alcohol solvent (C) at a specific temperature or below and subsequently continuously volatilizing the alcohol solvent (C) at a specific temperature or below under reduced pressure.
