PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension arm for a vehicle capable of reducing a weight of parts while securing a necessary strength. SOLUTION: In a transverse link 4 with an extension part 7 extending diagonally forward of a base part 6, a planar part 8 which has a basic shape of press forming is arranged in parallel to an input direction of fore-and-aft loads, and a downward-facing curl part 9 is extended to an end on a vehicle rear side of a A-A section as a connection portion of the base part 6 and the extension part 7, namely, an end opposite to an input side of the fore-and-aft loads. A connection part 10 of the planar part 8 and the curl part 9 is swollen upward, so that a sectional area is increased to secure strength, and a shearing center of the connection part 10 is disposed to a height equal to a center of figure, namely, a sectional center, to be parallel to an input direction of the fore-and-aft loads. Since the curl part is not required at least a vehicle front end, namely, at the input side of the fore-and-aft loads, weights of the parts are reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
