PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a wheelchair in the front/rear direction when a footrest is grounded in the wheelchair with the footrest. SOLUTION: The rear ends of flexible support shafts 19 are connected to the left/right support frames 17 of this wheelchair by connecting members 18, respectively, and the support shafts 19 are inserted in the insertion holes in the left/right ends of a stay arm 22. The front end face of the stay arm 22 is connected with a lift device 23 and a footrest arm of the lift device is connected with the flexible footrest. The stay arm 22 can be slid relatively to the support shafts 19 so that the wheelchair can be moved in the front/rear direction relatively to the grounded footrest. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
