PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cleaning body in which the number of cleaning bodies can be increased without increasing the diameter of a rotary shaft part, and to provide a vacuum cleaner provided with the rotary cleaning body. SOLUTION: The rotary cleaning body 60 for the vacuum cleaner is provided with: the rotary shaft part 65 having a plurality of insertion grooves 61, 62, 61 and 62 formed along a longitudinal direction; and the cleaning bodies 70 and 70 held by the plurality of insertion grooves 61, 62, 61 and 62. The cleaning bodies 70 are provided with: a plurality of inserted and held parts 71 and 72 inserted respectively and held into the plurality of insertion grooves 61 and 62; a connection part 75 connecting the plurality of inserted and held parts 71 and 72 and arranged along the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft part 65; and blade parts 76 to 79 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the connection part 75, extending along the longitudinal direction and projecting outward.
