The invention concerns a close-circuit aquacultural farming method for alga-eating fish, which consists in producing an uninterrupted food chain with recovery of organic effluents produced for treatment in a lagoon system, comprising a digesting tank providing complete degradation of said effluents and preferably a second tank containing a continuously growing phytoplankton biomass. The invention is characterized in that it consists in controlling said growth by transferring into a third tank excess biomass relative to a predetermined threshold, said third tank containing a zooplankton biomass, and in adjusting the supply of said third tank with phytoplankton so as to maintain and control its consumption by the zooplankton, the excess amount thereof being removed and sent in fry rearing and growth tanks as additional food.
