The retainer (10) has a square body (12) having two side sections (16,18) perpendicularly extending from a base section (14). The side sections are formed with slots (40,42) for receiving coupling elements. The slots form open channels that extend between the rear edge areas of the slots the major surfaces (20,22) of the square body. A cut portion (24) is formed on the square body for receiving an elongated article.
