IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity when a post-processing carrying control carrying the first and second parts of recording paper for a subsequent job in a stacked state after a post-processing for a previous job is completed is performed.

SOLUTION: This image forming system comprises a control means 101. The control means controllably switch between a first recording paper interval control performing image formation at the interval of the recording paper not including a post-processing time, a second recording paper interval control performing image formation at the interval of the recording paper including the post-processing time, a first post-processing carrying control temporarily stopping the first part of the recording paper for the subsequent job in a carrying route before an intermediate stacker while the post-processing is performed in a recording paper bundle for the previous job and carrying the first and second parts of the recording paper for the subsequent job in the stacked state to the intermediate stacker after the post-processing for the previous job is completed, and a second post-processing carrying control temporarily stopping the first part of the recording paper for the subsequent job in a carrying route before the intermediate stacker while the post-processing is performed in the recording paper bundle for the previous job and carrying the temporarily stopped recording paper to the intermediate stacker after the the post-processing for the previous job is completed.
