<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for fuel production, which do not generate harmful substances such as dioxins, etc., remove harmful substances, treat even waste having a high water content in a short time, reduce a treatment cost, yet reduce a water content while controlling loss of calorific value, remove an offensive smell and convert waste into a material so as to have properties suitable for use as fuel. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing fuel comprises keeping pressure in a treatment vessel 2 at≥1.96 MPa and heating the vessel by injecting high-pressure steam to the treatment vessel 2 to which waste is fed and stopping the injection of high-pressure steam when the temperature of a material part at the lower part in the treatment vessel 2 is coincident with the temperature of a space part at the upper part in the treatment vessel 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
