PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-abrasive grain tool for cutting in which arrangement of the super-abrasive grain and a brazing work are easily performed when the super-abrasive grains are mounted to both side end edges of a function surface in a base metal of the tool for cutting and the super-abrasive grains are hardly dropped off at cutting. SOLUTION: The super-abrasive grains 5 are fixed to the function surface 4 of the plate-like base metal 2 in only one layer to form a super-abrasive grain layer 6. The base metal 2 is provided with step parts 8a, 8b of predetermined depth from both side edges in a width direction to predetermined width in the width direction respectively. The super-abrasive grains 5 at both side edges of the super-abrasive grain layer 6 are installed in the state that they are in contact with bottom surfaces 10 and side surfaces 11 of the step parts 8a, 8b.
